DHL Simple delivery failure solution
Fell victim to DHL home collection of a large item this week. Booked for wednesday, failed to turn up by 7pm, called DHL the automated system said they were running late but still collecting. Called back at 7.30 and spoke to an operator after 25 mins wait, said they would come Thursday, stayed in all day no show, called them and they said they were never coming as they had not loaded it on the system but would collect Friday. No show again. So I called eBay and they said I could use Royal Mail and sent me a refund claim for DHL. The clue from DHL is an email in the morning, no email, no collection planned. If you have an email,they might collect. Key is don't wait more than the collection day. Go straight for the refund by calling ebay and use an alternative.

Mentor10 months agoeBay have acknowledged this issue with DHL collections which many have experienced.
This statement below, was from a Community manager, from the Wednesday Weekly Chat.....
' You can use your own courier if you wish. DHL are experiencing higher volumes than usual and are working on this to improve the service level. A refund request for the postage can then be made. '
