Delivery quotation not honoured by InPost
When selling my item, I was quoted £5.88 for the delivery of a large parcel by InPost. This is what ebay required me to charge for postage, even though it seemed surprisingly cheap. The buyer paid the £5.88, but when I came to buy the postage, InPost refused the order. I was forced to use Parcelforce and pay £13.63. I think this is unacceptable behaviour. It seems to me that InPost should be removed from ebay's courier list.

OPAug 17, 2026 at 6:14 PMThe answer by vyolla is definitely not the "Best Answer". I did put in the dimensions and weight, which is why it was marked as an "Oversized Package". If you don't believe me, I can send you a screenshot.

MentorAug 17, 2026 at 4:18 PMYou needed to work out the total measurements and weight for all 3 pieces, it was pretty obvious that you wouldn't be able to send those by any means for £5.88.

It needs a carrier like Parcelforce.

OPAug 17, 2026 at 6:07 PMYes, I did put in the correct dimensions and weight. This was recognised by InPost as a Large Parcel. If at that point they had declined to quote, that would have been fine. Instead, they quoted a price, and then later declined to honour it.
