I sold an item for delivery but the buyer turned out to be local so picked it up. How do we confirm that the item has been received so that the money can be released to me?

I sold an item for delivery but the buyer turned out to be local so picked it up. How do we confirm that the item has been received so that the money can be released to me?

Mentor10 months agoYou cannot confirm receipt but you can mark the item as dispatched by opening the Simple Delivery label. As it's untracked the payment will be released after 14 days. Or as a new seller the payment may be held for 30 days, regardless of tracking.
If the buyer paid for the postage label the cost will be automatically refunded to them in 30 days.

Mentor10 months agoYou generate/open the ebay postage label. I believe you have to click on print label to start it off.

OP10 months agoWhen I click to print label it just opens a PDF. I can't see the options changing.

Mentor10 months agoIf you wish to add your new tracking you can do so manually here, and use a laptop / PC preferably to the app.

OP10 months agoWhat would I replace the tracking number with, as I don't have an alternative tracking number (it's been picked up)?

Mentor10 months agoSorry my bad , for not reading your post correctly. There is no tracking, and no collection code as it was originally listed as a postage item, nothing more you can do.
The messages to dispatch will soon stop, but you may have to wait a minimum of 14 days now for the payout for that item.

OP10 months agoI haven't done anything, but can see that the item is now 'Despatched'. I'll wait 14 days and hopefully the money will be received.
