I've had several packages get lost recently. I travel a lot for work so changed my delivery address to a self storage service which receives packages for me.
Recently I have had several packages flagged as undeliverable and not delivered. On investigation, it looks as if the delivery address is being truncated on the shipping label. The packages which have gone astray have not had the second address line on them (the name of the self storage facility). As a result, the courier has not been able to deliver to my correct delivery address. They have on occasion tried to deliver to a random building in the delivery post code but the recipients of the package don't know me and ave therefore refused delivery.
My eBay delivery address looks visually fine on my account but there appears to be no pattern as to when this issue with the truncated address occurs. Has anyone seen this before and is there a solution or someone from eBay who can explain why this is happening? My last package from the USA was supposedly delivered to an address nearby the correct delivery address but I visited them and they claim that it never arrived or that they turned it away. I am now several packages down and several hundred pounds down so eager to find a way forward.

Mentor1 week agoNot sure if this helps but the way you write your delivery address may be the problem.
There's an intermittent bug to do with addresses.
eBay say a delivery address must not exceed 39 characters including spaces on any line.
Even if your address doesn't exceed that try shifting the format around, such as moving just the road name to the second line, then save as a "new address".

Mentor1 week ago · EditedDecide if there is part of the address you can safely leave off, eg. the county. The most important parts are the name of the place, the number and road name, and of course the postcode. I would put the name of the facility on the first line. See if that helps.
For the ones where the tracking does not show delivery do "not received" cases to get a refund. For any that have been misdelivered contact ebay. You can ring them or request they ring you by viewing this link on your phone:
