Dangerous product
I purchased a half gas mask from a seller on your ebay and had problems with black bits coming into my mouth, i contacted the seller who said he would refund my money if I left him a good review.
I did this and reordered another one a month later and am having the same problem, it says on the filter where the black bits come from that it can cause death.
I have contacted a reputable company and sent them photos and they have been in business for 20 years and they do not recognise the mask. It's dangerous and the seller does not want to know.
He needs to be stopped from selling these dangerous masks

Mentor5 months agoThe only way eBay can stop items not fit for purpose or not as described is for buyers to follow eBay's 30 day MBG Money Back Guarantee policy and open those cases.
This not only fully refunds you for faulty or items which should not be sold, but if enough cases for the same reason are oppened, this raises red flags to eBay who can then remove the item or the seller from their site.
You had 30 days to open that case and alert eBay.
BTW it's not ' our eBay' here, we are members like yourself.

OP5 months agomasks and photos of first mask and second mask.
This seller should NOT be selling these on ebay. The 1st mask was refunded
and the 2nd mask was delivered on 16th January, i am not concerned about a
refund but more concerned these masks should not be sold.

Mentor5 months agoI explained how eBay work on removing items.
They cannot go by messages as this could be from a competitor or a disgruntled buyer they work on the number of cases opened for an item.
Your missed your chance to alert eBay the correct way, when 30 days lapsed and it was too late to open the relevant case.

Mentor5 months agoYou have been told how to get ebay to take note, they will not take any notice of reports from one person but you have had two chances to open not as described cases, and two chances to leave negative feedback.
Being a repeat buyer does not help either.

Where was your concern for other buyers when you agreed to leave an untruthful good review for this gas mask just to get a refund??
Shame on you. All you had to do to get a refund was to use eBay's money back guarantee. You could have left truthful feedback to warn buyers about the problems with this product.

·5 months agoYou can report the seller to trading standards - I believe you now have to do this via Citizens Advice.
They won't act on a single report, but they can take action against UK business sellers if they receive multiple reports.
