Damaged Return only option
Hi. I was speaking to a seller about a return and we both agreed. I went to the return and for some reason only "damaged" was available. It then instantly refunded me and case closed.
I am an honest guy and don't want to close the case but there is absolutely no option for me to get anywhere, is there anything I can do? I just want to return the item as usual.

·10 months agoIf you opened a return using the reason 'damaged in transit' and were refunded without return, then Ebay will have funded your refund, not the seller.
Don't feel guilty.
The seller will get paid, you have a refund, and should feel free to dispose of the item however you see fit.

OP10 months agoOkay thank you. It was the only option, I don't know if I accidentally clicked it first and then it wouldn't let me select something else.
I do feel bad because it's not the outcome it deserved and I was happy to pay postage and return it. Item was £90. I just hope it wouldn't happen again but if there was anything I can do I would happily do it.

Mentor10 months agoIt worked exactly the way it is supposed to work.
Buyer opens case, ebay just settled the claim.
It does seem to me that if it is so easy to get a refund and seller also keeps the payment, scammers are going to have an excellent way to make money, as ebay do not seem to investigate.
