Damaged packaging but item is undamaged. Simple Delivery query
I sold an item and posted using Simple Delivery. The buyer has advised the packaging was damaged in transit although the item itself is undamaged. We have exchanged a couple of messages but an automatic eBay message is generated saying they will deal directly with the seller. I am not sure whether I need to take any action, or if I should given that only the item's packet was damaged. Advice please...

Mentor3 weeks agoIf the buyer does not open a "damaged in transit" return ebay won't do anything. If the buyer is happy with the item nothing else is needed. ebay are just informing you that they would deal with any problem is there is one. With Simple Delivery ebay refund the buyer and seller keeps the payment for loss or damage in transit.
