damaged item received
Received a model locomotive which was damaged when I opened it. Seller lied about the special packing rings. One was missing and the back chassis is bent. Seller denies all this and has suggested someone else opened it and is calling me a liar. Ebay is more than unhelpful as I can't speak to anyone. I don't trust him with a return.

Mentor7 months agoIf it could have happened in transit open a return using "item damaged" as the reason. If it was a private seller they will have used ebay's Simple Delivery and eBay will issue the refund themselves. The seller keeps the original payment. You will not be required to return the item.
If it was a business seller they wouldn't have used SD and if necessary escalate your case to eBay after 3 complete working days.

Mentor7 months agoYou do not need to communicate with seller or speak to ebay.
Have you never noticed the ebay 30 day money back guarantee on right side of every listing.
You simply open a Not as described Return, seller has to supply a reply paid return label, and on return refund in full.
If no response from seller within 3 days, on day 4 escalate to ebay.
