custom postage
Why has simple delivery been taken off some items ,I went to list an item that was large letter size and ebay recommended that size ,but when I went to the postage the simple delivery button was blank but the customise button was there even said new in the box ,but to list under that it said the item won't be protected by ebay if the item is lost or damaged in post ,so what is going on ?

Mentor10 months agoIt is just that your item was in a category where it is not necessary to use SIMPLE POSTAGE. There is no list of exempt categories, just that the Custom Postage box appears. Ebay never content with leaving things alone, have now placed this box on the Left, previously on the Right.
A large letter by second class postage costs £1.55, whereas if using Simple it would be about £2.70.
While at £1.55 there is no tracking, but getting a receipt at Post Office the receipt can be used to support a claim on ROYAL MAIL if lost or damage, but only up to £20.
This is just the easy way we all used before ebay invented the money making (for them) Not so simple postage.
