Creating a postage label..
Summary: craigb19868 is facing difficulties amending a buyer's address to access a postage label. The buyer is unresponsive, and there's concern about the impact on their reputation if the item isn't shipped on time. They are seeking advice on how to resolve the issue.
Hey All
Having some trouble with th gentleman’s address, I have tried multiple times to amend the address to allow me to access the postage label. The buyer isn’t particularly responsive and I am pretty conscious this item needs to go out tomorrow and at this rate won’t and will reflect badly on me yet no fault of my own… please could someone advise?

·2 weeks agoThis seems to be a new thing (first had it this week) where ebay make you amend what they think is an address fault before they let you have the Simple Delivery label - while also telling you that if you amend it significantly you'll lose your seller protection!
The most common issue seems to be ebay imposing a character limit for Address Line 1. If this is the issue for yours, cut and paste some of Address Line 1 onto Address Line 2 as this line seems to have no character limit. The other possibility is wrong spacing in the postcode - an extra space anywhere, including at the start, or a missing space can trigger an error.

Mentor2 weeks agoYou cannot amend an address, sellers are required to post to address as advised by ebay.
Sending to any other address and seller has no protection against claims of not received
