Counterfeit Item

Question

I recently purchased an item which the brand have confirmed is counterfeit. I obviously want a refund which the seller is resisting. I am having great difficulty lodging a report using eBay's online report - it keeps coming back with "Report Submission Failed". I stripped the report down to the minimum including removing attachments, but still no joy. Anybody have any suggestions?

If within 30 days from collection/delivery, it is now up to you, the buyer, to open a 'Not as described' case, seller either provides a return tracked label, and refunds on return, or just refunds if they do not want back. Worth a try.

If over 30 days contact your payment provider to see if they can help.

Thanks for the advice guys. I eventually got to speak to a voice at eBay and they are allowing the seller 3 working days before organising a full refund. So sorted….. I hope

But how recent is recent?? Your rights depend upon exact dates - when you bought it, and when it was delivered. The period for which you are protected may vary from only 30 days (eBay's money back guarantee) to probably 120 days if funded from a credit or debit card.

It would have helped so much to tell us the exact date of purchase, and how you paid.
