Counterfeit goods sold to me
I have been sold a counterfeit JBL speaker that stopped working after about 6 weeks.
I found out that it was a copy whilst taking it to try to get an estimate on a repair. The seller isn't replying to me and just offered me a £10 discount in the beginning.
I have emailed many times but he is not replying now.
Ebay do not want to know because I am outside the 30 day return policy.
As this is an electrical item it may not be safe and Ebay are not doing anything about this. I have reported the seller but heard nothing back from from Ebay.
I do not know where to go with this now?

There is nothing to be done through eBay, I'm afraid, except perhaps to leave appropriate feedback.
I notice that you never leave feedback for any of your sellers. Do please think about doing so in furure. When buying from strangers on eBay it's so helpful if other buyers have left feedback to show whether they had a good or a bad buying experience with a seller.
As for what you can do now, your best hope is that your payment provider e.g. credit or debit card, Apple Pay or Google Pay may still be able to help. This will depend upon a number of factors including exactly when and how you paid.
Failing all else, if your seller is a UK business seller you can consult Citizen's Advice or read up online about your statutory consumer rights. Unfortunately, having rights doesn't count for much unless you can enforce them, which in the case of distant, unknown and uncooperative eBay sellers may be difficult or pointless.

Mentor6 months agoContact your payment provider. If Paypal they only offer 30 day protection as well.
You must make yourself aware of the limitations of the Ebay 30 day money back guarantee. Seller is responsible for details in listing, not ebay.
