cosmetic violation of policy-do not understand why
Hi
I posted this item which I have had on sale before without issues. However I relisted it as a new ad and I got a message frrm ebay saying it is violating a cosmetic policy and I don't understand why. I have removed it.
There are other items the same being advertised
Who can I contact to find out why it was violating a cosmetic policy. I am confused. Surely ebay should give an actual reasona nd explain

Mentor5 months agoYou may have been reported under VeRo (see bottom of page).
You are selling lots of new cosmetics as a private seller,
can look suspicious to brand owner that they may be fake.

I ahve tried to ask them directly as it will be good to know for future as to why it's a violation

I can't see why your listing was removed, at a guess you may have needed a photo of the actual product, not a stock photo. However, you don't want to keep getting policy breaches against your account, so I wouldn't try and list it again.

I have asked them directly as I had an option to appeal so even though i have removed it I have also clicked the appeal button in order to get an actual reason so I know for future

Mentor5 months agoIt's a good pic, but in that case it's a bit of potential health hazard if it's been removed from the packaging for photos.
Hopefully the appeal will provide a reason, though I wouldn't hold your breathe, sometimes it's just a straight no without any reason given. Pop back with an update when you get one, it will be interesting to know how it goes.
