Contacting eBay and sellers thoughts
Summary: jeha-734 shared an experience where a buyer claimed a product was the wrong size, leading eBay to demand a refund despite the item being correctly advertised. jeha-734 is frustrated with eBay's handling of the situation and their lack of response, leaving them £180 out of pocket. They are seeking advice on how to contact eBay to resolve the issue.
I sold a product which was advertised correctly. On receipt of them the buyer accept them and payment was made. Soon after the buyer put in a claim to eBay saying the boots were the wrong size and that he had used the eBay search engine which picked up the wrong size and he wanted a refund. EBay decided that his claim was correct and demanded I refund his money along with the postage and packing. I questioned this and messaged the buyer to say return the goods and I will refund the money. Immediately after a call from eBay saying unless I refunded the money, eBay would pay the buyer and keep the goods, eBay turned off the returns ability leaving me nowhere to go. Somehow, I challenged their decision but was over ruled. I have since tried to message eBay on many occasions along with messaging the buyer. Both are ignoring me
How do I get this resolved when I can’t even contact eBay?? Has anyone got a phone number or email address for them. This is totally outrageous and has left me £180 out of pocket for none of my own doing
Can I get anyone’s thoughts on this

Mentor3 weeks agoThat sounds very odd but if the buyer opens a case for item not as described, for whatever reason, you have to issue a label if you want the item back. It sounds like you simply told the buyer to send it back and the buyer escalated the case to ebay.
