contacting a member of ebay staff
I have an issue with a product that I bought out of eBay timescale as it seems, me and the seller have agreed a 70% refund and the seller asked for my PayPal details to issue this, however no matter how I try to give this to them and I have tried everything eBay blocks this, so I have tried everything and every angle to actually speak with an eBay agent and to say the least its very frustrating, anyone suggest anything please ?

Mentor6 months agoA seller can issue a part refund through ebay up to 90 days after purchase.
How long is it since you bought the item?
Was it a business seller? They will have alternative contact methods.
Or, as they have your address they could either send you a cheque, or their email address to use.
I doubt ebay will override the message blocking.

OP6 months agoHi and thanks for replying, this is a lithium battery I bought almost 6 month ago but just inside the 6 month allowed period with PayPal, I also opened a case with them but they also are as helpful as eBay, its a long story mate but the seller has agreed a 70% refund but I think they have been and will also let it run if they can and play the system, the eBay system certainly does not cater for situations like this, i very quick simple conversation with a member of eBay staff would get this sorted,
thanks anyway mate.

Mentor6 months agoPaypal only allow 30 days for item not as described claims, which i assume this is.
It's because it was so long ago that ebay are treating your messages as unconnected with the original sale, that won't change if you speak to someone. Those messages with PayPal info will not get through.
You are totally reliant on the seller playing ball. There is no mechanism after all this time to force any refund, partial or otherwise.

Mentor6 months agoPayPal's timeline for claiming an item is not working / not as described, is exactly the same as eBay's, that is, it has a 30 day timeframe.
PayPal has a longer ,I think 180 day timeframe, for claiming an item has not been received.

OP6 months agowell all I can say it PayPal did open a case and closed it because I did not send some info in within 3 days but when I proved to them that I did they reopened the case so lets see what happens mate , but like I said mate this one is a long story with lots more to it, the general question I put out there was about actually speaking to a eBay person,
thanks again for your input thou
