Contact ebay about an item not delivered
Seller sent me the wrong item. Said not to return but they will send a replacement. Asked where it had got to and said it had been delivered and showed a packet on the floor against a wall. Trouble is it is obviously not my property but trying to contact ebay about it just sends me round in circles. I just want to speak or email them but if I click on the item it just says I have made a request for this item and the return is closed. No other options,

Mentor1 month agoNever accept replacements. You should have opened a case for item not as described and followed the process to get a refund.

OP1 month agoThank you. I have eventually been able to contact ebay by phone. The lady gave me exactly the same advice. The one thing I have learnt is don't trust the seller. Even though he told me to close the return it gets him off the hook. I thought it was to save him the cost of returning the item. A lesson for everyone.

Mentor1 month agoIf seller does not want item returned he can just refund. Closing the case lets him off the hook as you only get one chance.
As already said, never accept promises of a replacement, and NEVER close a case unless fully satisfied.
