Company pretending to be in Ilford but is in China

Absolutely sick of these Chinese companies on eBay. I ordered a funnel with glexi neck . Needed it urgently . Ordered it as it said company was in Ilford . 5 days later I looked tracking still in transit coming from flaming China . I avoid Chinese companies like the plague , I've been ripped off too many times. This isn't an expensive item but its the false representation and the inconvenience . Anyone else sick of Chinese companies flooding EBAY and every other buying platform?

A lot of Chinese sellers do have UK warehouses.

Always look at estimated delivery date, just because you pay ASAP, does not meany a seller posts as quick.

that seller is UK based, If i bought today, delivery is 17 - 22 September.

I bought 7 days ago and no delivery til after 22nd . The item i ordered is coming from.China . Read some of the neutral feedback

It's misleading . If you read neutral feedback many items are shipped from China despite company saying they're in Ilford. Im just saying its misleading is all . Thanks for the reply . I absolutely hate these Chinese companies half the stuff they have sent has been garbage I've thrown away. I try to avoid them.but its impossible when they use British Names and say they are based in UK

The fact that the item is located in the UK doesn't mean that the seller is located in the UK.

You haven't provided an item number, but if you look at the seller's feedback page I imagine it will state that the seller is registered in China. eBay should make this clearer. It's important for buyers to know where the seller is registered as items bought directly from sellers in China items may not comply with UK safety standards and buyers will have no meaningful statutory consumer protection.

If an item is stated to be located in the UK but is actually dispatched from China this is reportable to eBay as item location misrepresentation. If the other buyers you mention had done this eBay may have taken action against the seller.

Hi. Thanks for this information. I wasn't aware of this . I'll let eBay know. Was only a cheap item this time , however I've been caught out before in the same was with clothing that arrived and wasn't anything like the photos or description of the fabric. Trying to return said items was a joke . Its so annoying when you purposely avoid these companies like the plague . Ill mention this to eBay . Thanks so much

What was the estimated delivery date showing when you looked at the listing?

If the item location said "Ilford" then that's location misrepresentation. Do you want to share the listing number?

Delivery in 48 hours . Very misleading . British name for the company and saying they're located in Ilford . Reading neutral and negative feedback seems a lot of what they send comes from.China hence the huge delay . They're a nuisance . Sick of them flooding the market with rubbish and long delays . Try to return anything and you have no chance. I try to avoid them but its I.lossible
