Collection only item, now not suitable buyer will not cancel.
Summary: realmofstuff purchased an item listed for collection only and quickly realized it was unsuitable, requesting cancellation within 30 minutes. The seller, a business, took three days to respond and refused the cancellation, claiming the order was 'in process.' realmofstuff feels the process is being unnecessarily prolonged and seeks advice on obtaining a refund.
Recently bought a item which was for collection only, unfortunately after purchasing immediately realised it wasn't suitable so within 30 minutes of completing the payment I requested a cancellation from the seller.
It took the seller (a business not private) 3 days to respond upon which I was informed the item cannot be cancelled. Also I pursued this by asking why not and several hours later I was told the order is in process. What ever that means, me personally I think they just dragging it out.
What now can be done to get a refund. . ? ?

Mentor1 week agoObviously they cannot force you to collect it so wait a few days and then open a "not received" case to get a refund via the dropdown menu arrow for the item on your purchase list.
