Collection in person option not working so I selected delivery...

Question

I won an auction lot and, as I was unable to select collect in person option, I paid sale price plus delivery via paypal. I then collected the item in person. Seller has not had funds from ebay.

Is there a work around because I cannot now say item has been collected or rec'd.

There's nothing you can do. The seller will get the money but it will be held for 14 days, maybe up to 30 days if they are new sellers to ebay.

Assuming they are private sellers (not business) you will get the cost of the unused postage back from ebay in 30 days.
