Collecting a paid for item by courier
Have sold a sofa which has been paid for via paypal and buyer arranging to collect via a delivery service. I believe they have to show me a scan / code on collection as proof. Can anyone advise how this works?

Mentor6 months agoYes, that code is essential, personally, and I'm sure many will agree, not to part with that sofa without receiving the code.
Remind the buyer to give the courier service drivers that collection code, the buyer should have received when paying for the sofa, as the sofa cannot be released without it.
You then scan the code alongside... Confirm collection, or the numbers can be entered manually. This is your only proof of collection.
One more thing, if the buyer sends their own courier service, they are using a third party so this voids eBay's 30 day MBG, Money Back Guarantee protection.
