Closed ebay account, data deletion

Back in 2016/2017 I closed an eBay account.

How do I know for sure that the account and the associated data has been erased.

I've read that, "After deletion, we retain a record of your request and our response. We also retain some personal data that we are we're legally required or allowed to retain "

Is there a way to find out for sure?

You can still submit a data request, but bear in mind you'll likely have to provide more information than you'd like in order to request it:
