Click and collect / Royal Mail collection
Summary: 18catsrfurryfriends is concerned about eBay automatically enabling click and collect on their listings, which they didn't choose, and is looking for options as they are housebound and prefer Royal Mail to collect items. tobiasd4 mentions that click and collect might not be linked to Royal Mail, while john1297576 points out that regular postage should still be available. 18catsrfurryfriends seeks clarification on checking the chosen carrier and shares confusion over eBay's settings. Another participant, papso22, questions why Royal Mail collection wouldn't work if it's the selected delivery method, implying potential issues with the setup.
If someone opts for click and collect (which I do not like using but I do not appear to have any option not to) can you still arrange for Royal Mail to collect as I am housebound.

Mentor1 week ago · EditedI am not aware of any reason why if you as a seller offer click and collect to buyers, and only have RM as a delivery method, why RM can't collect from you as part of your postage arrangement.
Are you asking because you have tried and it hasn't worked?

Mentor1 week agoAll your items have C&C as postage option, it is part of simple delivery.

Mentor1 week ago · EditedSeller can offer C & C but there should be ordinary postage to your address as well.
C & C is optional, no buyer would buy if they had a 10 mile drive to nearest C & C store.

Mentor1 week agoYou need to check which carrier ebay selected.
It may not be Royal mail.
