cheating Bayer

Question

I purchased a, what i thought was advertised as a new coffee machine, it turned up and damaged, and was clearly not new , I asked for return which was accepted after a lot of arguments I then returned the item now the seller he's saying the box has turned up empty what can you do about this as they are clearly cheats and liars I've been an eBay member for years.

Did you return this via an eBay return with the seller providing you with the pre-paid returns label?

If so, and they've stated that they've received an empty box, reply stating that the item was in the box when sent. As @papso22 suggests, if you have a Post Office receipt the weight of the package will be on it, so you could photograph it or scan it and attach it to the case/eBay message stating that the postage receipt has the weight of the package showing as XXXXX, proving that the box wasn't empty when sent back.
