Cheap blurays turned into nightmare
So I made an offer on 5 bluray movies at 1.68 and 2.49 shipping each, seller previously agreed to combine postage. Offer went through, automatic payment plus postage for each one. No chance for seller to combine postage on any . I now noticed that I have been charged 52p vat on each one as well, both UK buyer and seller. Total now £23.20. What is this madness?

Mentor10 months agoAt the moment sellers can't combine postage on Simple Delivery sales. What they should have done was create a single listing for all the discs.
The VAT is on the postage and the buyer protection fee.

OP10 months agoThank you for clarification. I am not blaming the seller as they have been very helpful. I am really miffed that I am paying VAT on excessive postage cost though.

Mentor10 months agoLikewise, I feel that ebay makes money on this awful system and to find a way to allow buyers and sellers to benefit by combining, is not in ebay’s interest.
