Charged Extra for Postage After Checkout by Final Courier
I have been charged and extra £10.30 by Royal Mail for them to deliver a parcel that was sent with Ebay Simple Delivery. I have tried to contact customer service, but the AI is useless and I keep getting error messages and I can't find any other way of contacting Ebay.

Mentor1 month agoIt is always recommended not to psy, and then open a not received case.
I think this is what ebay are referring to as I doubt there is any way to recover your money.

OPSep 12, 2026 at 5:47 PMAh, I didn't know it was that specific parcel so someone else in my house paid the postage so we could find out who it was for.

OP1 month agoThis notice is in my messages with the seller. The 'file a claim' part doesn't show up in the purchase history menu as described.

Mentor1 month agoThis is a generic message which appears whenever there is any message between buyer and seller, in my humble opinion it's very misleading especially advising any postage issues to contact CS .
All you can do to retrieve that excess is to send the seller a polite message perhaps with a photo of the excess to pay seen on the parcel, but there's nothing to enforce them to refund you.
The correct method as explained, was to refuse delivery and open a case for item not received, I agree not an eBay ruling, a buyer would necessary know!
