Change tracking information
Hi I’m sending an item and eBay has generated a teaching number, however the cost it’s enough to pay the postage. So I have made and paid for one that will cover the cost.
Is there a way to change the tracking information on eBay, as the guidance it give about going to “more actions” and add/changing simply isn’t there?
Thanks

Mentor1 week agoYou can't add your tracking number to the order details, but can let your buyer know it via eBay messages if you wish, and if an item not received claim were to be opened then you add it there to prove delivery.
If you want the order to show as dispatched you can select to get the label/QR code and just not use it.
If the buyer paid for the label (and it looks like they did) then they'll get the refund of the postage they paid.
Your payment will be held for 14 days though.

Mentor1 week agoI am afraid you can't change the tracking.

Mentor1 week agoFirstly, apologies for the long delay in replying there was a technical issue with this particular board which prevented us from answering, until now.
You cannot now add any new tracking, eBay suggest sending the buyer a message with those tracking details. If a case is opened later for item not received, you will be able to add those tracking details.
A refund is sent to whoever paid for the SD label:
If you selected 'Buyer pays’ when you created the listing, your buyer will automatically be refunded for any Simple Delivery label that isn’t used after 30 days
If you selected ‘Seller pays’ and offered free postage on your listing, you'll need to fill out the Request a refund for Simple Delivery form for the label that wasn’t used. Make sure to send your request within 14 days of your item selling.
