Is there a way to change shipping to international during the auction so international buyers can bid?

Once you have bids there are restrictions on what can be edited.

Have you tried to add overseas shipping, as unless postage is shown overseas buyers may be able to bid but they cannot pay.

Yes I have tried to revise the listing but the toggle is greyed out - please see attached.

I’ve been contacted by a customer in Spain that wants to bid but he is unable to… can anyone at eBay override this so I can toggle international postage on allowing international bidders?
