received a bid, but I notice that I’ve not chosen postage signed for, which I will need as the jacket is expensive. How can I change postage option ?

Mentor8 months agoYour listing does include Tracked delivery option, but as said you should be covered by ebay.

OP8 months agoJohn, do I need to change it ? I need to ensure that it is received by the buyer (to cover myself).

·8 months agoAs long as you use the Simple Delivery label supplied by Ebay, if the item is not delivered, Ebay would deal with the buyer's claim and you would keep the payment.

OP8 months agoThankyou. A few years ago I was twice bitten by people who said they didn’t receive something, when it showed as delivered. I lost out hugely. From then on, when selling something a bit more expensive, I always used either Registered or Signed For. Do I not need to do that anymore ?

·8 months agoI don't see how a signature would make any difference.
If somebody is going to fraudulently claim 'not delivered', they can easily say 'that's not my signature'.
If tracking shows the item has been delivered to the address the buyer used when checking out, a claim against the seller would fail.
