can't change tracking number

Question

i'm trying to change the tracking for an item but when i do it says item not eligible even though i advertised it for tracking and it's giving me a label for tracking.

You can't change the tracking number if you don't use Simple Delivery. You can message your buyer with the tracking details. If necessary you would be able to add the new number to an "Item not received" case if one was opened. Payment may be held for 14 days.

You can't add your tracking number to the order details, but can let your buyer know it via eBay messages if you wish, and if an item not received claim were to be opened then you add it there to prove delivery.

If you want the order to show as dispatched you can select to get the label/QR code and just not use it.

If the buyer paid for the label (and it looks like they did) then they'll get the refund of the postage they paid.
