Cannot remove items from a listing with numerous Variations
Summary: soobell is having trouble removing three sold items from a listing of 18 variations. Despite following the AI instructions to revise the listing, the changes do not save. *vyolla* suggests trying a different browser and posting the issue on the Business Seller Board for further advice. soobell plans to follow these suggestions and report any findings.
I have a single listing which includes 18 different items (they're aprons of different sizes, fabrics & patterns). I've sold 3 of them elsewhere, so need to remove them from my listing. I've tried (and tried again .....) to do as the AI instruction tells me. I click on the sold options, & their font changes to very faint - which I assume means they're now not included in the list - and I scroll down to the page end & click on 'Save Changes'. But, when I re-open the listing, it's still showing the original 18 variations. The AI says I can change the number(s) to zero, but I don't see any number field.
This is driving me mad. it took a very long time to set up the original listing so I really don't want to have to delete it & start again.
I'm nearing my wits' end.
Any ideas please?

Mentor1 month agoYou shouldn't be going to Sold items in order to revise a variation listing.
Which listing is it, what's the number?

OP1 month agoSorry - I didn't mean 'Sold' section on eBay, but was distinguishing the 3 items (on my listing) which had sold elsewhere from the remaining 15 which are still available.
No is 116968359596
Thks.

Mentor1 month agoThanks. So you want to remove 3 of the model numbers that are now no longer available?
When you go back into your listing how are you removing them?

OPJul 18, 2026 at 9:27 PMYes, that's right. The following is what I've been doing:
Click on 'Revise Listing';
In 'Variations' section, Click on 'Edit' (@ right hand side of screen);
In 'Attributes & Options you've selected' section, Click on 'Edit';
Under 'Model (@ right hand side of screen) Click on tiny crosses beside the 3 relevant aprons' names;
Scroll down & Click on 'Update Variations' (@ foot of screen);
Click on 'Confirm' under 'Confirm your changes';
'Click on 'Save & Close'.
After doing the above, & opening the listing in a new tab, I find nothing has changed.

MentorJul 19, 2026 at 9:25 AMThat's the correct route to revise a variation, I can't see why it shouldn't update correctly. Suggest trying a different browser and see if that works (I've found that some features are unresponsive at the moment for no reason whatsoever with some browsers).
Maybe also worth posting this on the Business Seller Board and see if anyone has encountered the same problem and, if so, how they remedied it.

It'll be later today (have other jobs to do first) but I'll post results on here - incl answers from others if any.

MentorJul 19, 2026 at 12:44 PMThat would be useful, we can see posts on the other boards though.
