Cannot contact a human
I have a bathroom pull switch (lightswitch) delivered to me on 11th January 2026 which is now faulty. Seller refuses to answer contact requests and there is no means to simply contact Ebay as the dumb robot refuses to deviate from a narrow criteria and refuses to allow me to discuss the matter with an agent via a chat. So it looks as though Ebay clearly doesn't care about goods covered by British Law as faulty but not by Ebay. Thinking about taking this up with Small Claims Court

Mentor1 month agoThere is no point discussing anything outside the money back guarantee period with ebay. They simply won't be interested. The MBG is provided by ebay in addition to your statutory rights, it helps you enforce them. but only for a limited period of time.

Mentor1 month agoeBay only allow 30 days for claims. Payment providers allow 120 days. Your only option would be the small claims court (now called money claim online) if the value made it worthwhile.
