Cannot combine postage for Buy it now items
Summary: winifred1916 asked for help regarding a problem with combined postage on eBay, as a customer couldn't request an invoice. Can anyone please help me? I have spoken with customer services twice about this and I am no further forward.
A customer has two items in her basket and she wants combined postage of course, but she cannot request an invoice.
I went to my settings and ensured Allow invoice requests .
I then ensured every item for sale has "Require immediate payment when buyer uses Buy it now", is unchecked.
The Ebay Agent on the phone said that should be ok.
However, the customer said she still couldn't request an invoice!
There is no way I can check what she is seeing if she views the Summary of her basket, then goes to click on "Go to Check out".
If she clicks on "Go to checkout " will she see any options on that page to request an invoice?
Obviously in the basket summary she will see each item plus postage for each of these items and the total, but will she see an option to request an invoice when she clicks on go to checkout?
It is SO Complicated.
I would be grateful for any help ASAP . I fear I may already have lost these two sales because of this.

Mentor1 month agoIt seems that buyer should click to pay items in her basket to see whether postage is combined.
Bare in mind that weight and size may mean that postage is not adequate.

Mentor1 month agoUnder Simple delivery for private sellers, sellers can't combine postage.
Ebay say if buyer adds all items to basket, then they will issue combined postage invoice.
You could cancel items,then relist as 1 listing for buyer to buy again.
Message buyer 1st if you do this.

Mentor1 month agoWhen using Simple Delivery buyers can't request invoices from sellers. If they buy the items all at the same time, putting each in their basket (on a PC, not the app) they will be automatically combined by ebay and you get one postage label to use.
