Cancelled cancellation
My buyer wanted to cancel but then said (via an ebay message) he did still want to go ahead. The Royal Mail pick up didnt come so I printed the label and took it to the post office. However, the latest message says that the order is cancelled. How can I get the money or the item back?

Mentor3 weeks agoBuyers can only request to cancel. Unless you accept the request will time out and be rejected automatically, or you can positively reject before that happens.
So are you absolutely sure the sale was cancelled? Ignore the ebay message and check against the sale itself.

OP3 weeks agoIT DOESNT APPEAR ON THE COUPLE OF ITEMS IHAVE STILL FOR SALE.
When he asked to cancel I agreed. I then saw a message from ebay that said it was too late and a message from the buyer saying he has changed his mind and wants to buy. I sent the item by post using the label from the site but I now think that might have been a mistake. How can I contact someone at ebay to try to sort this out.

Mentor3 weeks agoEbay won't sort it out. When you agreed to the request the sale was cancelled and the buyer was refunded. You now need the buyer to pay again, but outside of ebay.

OP3 weeks agoThanks for your responses. I also got this message from ebay "Hi Mike,
We let the buyer know that you can't cancel this order because you already posted it on 24 Sep, 2026."
That led me to dispatch the item but it now appears that ebay did allow him to cancel. It is all very unfotunate.
