Cancellation request pending appears seller is amazon drop shipping
Good evening,
I put in a cancellation request when I realised the item would not arrive on time. After 5 days there had been no sign of communication from the seller that was being dispatched.
I decided to cancel (have never cancelled this late before) and got an email yesterday saying that the item was being prepared for shipment and they were attempting to cancel it. I was then told to email after 24 hours for an update.
I have now sent 2 emails and had no response and no sign that the item has been dispatched. It is to be delivered this week and looking through the most recent feedback it appears the seller using Amazon for drop shipping.
I know I can put in an item not received if it doesn't arrive in the next few days. Seller has not confirmed a cancellation so will eBay just disregard my request.

Mentor6 months agoCheck the money back guarantee, I think it still says that items delivered late can be returned at the seller's expense as 'not as described'.
Cancellation requests are automatically rejected after 3 days.

Mentor6 months agoeBay don't intervene with cancellation requests. It's up to the seller to issue the cancellation. If they send it anyway, if they are business sellers, you can return it although you would have to pay the return postage.
