Cancellation for Non-Payment
Summary: hiraeth1234 sold an item but the buyer, an experienced eBayer, requested a cancellation claiming their bid was a mistake. hiraeth1234 declined the request and reached out to the buyer, who then ignored them. Now wishing to cancel due to non-payment, hiraeth1234 finds themselves unable to do so on eBay. tommystrezures advised that cancellation may be possible after 4 days from the auction's end time, explaining that the option to cancel for non-payment will lead to a strike on the buyer's account, impacting their buying ability if repeated.
Help! I sold an item on 27 June. The buyer - who is a very experienced eBayer - then requested a cancellation because the bid was made in error. This is incredibly improbable so I declined the cancellation request. I chased the buyer - politely - but she ignored me. 4 days have elapsed. I now wish to cancel the order because the buyer hasn’t paid. They won’t let me do it on eBay . What can I do. I also think the buyer should get a strike. It’s not fair when they enter an auction then don’t pay up when they win.

Mentor1 month agoits 4 days to the minute the item finished, so if its now day 4 but the item auction didn't finish until say 20.21 tonight then you wont be able to cancel the order until then. Goto the hub and click cancel order it will give you 4 options, top one buyer did not pay (they will get a strike on their account - more than two a year affects their ability to buy on the platform.
