Cancel item refused.
On an item I ordered and paid for I asked the seller if he had posted my item, he said he hadn't and he will let me know when he has as I am am still within the three days window for posting, so I asked to cancel the item and the seller refused, I then looked at the feedback and can see that this seller has plenty of negative feedback for not posting items out to sellers, I have asked the seller for tracking and so far no reply, so now I am in one of those dreaded wait and see if he sends it scenarios, the fact that ebay wont cancel this order either I can see they have no power to do anything in a situation like this, as I bought four other similar items from different sellers at the same time, and they had all posted my item, I am going to close my account after this mess has panned out I cant deal with these problems and that ebay can do nothing to help, i've been an ebay member for 20 or more years and I cant deal with this again... never again....

Mentor8 months agoA buyer can ask, but a seller can refuse a cancellation request. Personally, I cannot see any benefit for the seller here, refusing a cancellation and posting an item a buyer does not want as there is always a chance of it being sent back damaged for a full refund.
You need to wait one day after the item's last estimated date for delivery to open a case for item not received, and escalate on day 4 if not refunded beforehand.
As you have experienced, it's always worth checking a seller's feedback before buying from them.
