can someone explain the allow sales whilst away?

I set time away when I came to Spain (still here but coming back on Sat 25th). I thought I should've done the 'allow sales' but it really confused me ... does it mean a buyer can buy something from me but know I won't be able to post it until the following Monday 27th? If I wanted to do that now should I just select the 'allow item sales' button?
I used to be able to attach screenshots in here but can't see where to do it - has that facility been removed?

They can buy from you, but they are ' warned' that seller is away until ** date and cannot post beforehand.
Personally, I would not rely on this, buyers do not read descriptions fully let alone a warning which is not exactly written in big print at the top of a listing and I think even less noticeable when peeps are using a mobile !
I would end all the listing they then go into your ' Inactive Listing' for 60 days if you are on My eBay selling and for 90 days max if you are on the Seller Hub. You can then relist from there at any time when you are back.

Mentor3 weeks agoTwo things the facility to add pictures has not been removed here it should be in the mini dashboard above where you type.
However back to your question, If you are on time away there are two options to leave items active, however if something is purchased then the seller will be advised you can not post until date xyz - eg on your return. Secondly you can hide all of your listings until your return. When you set up time away all the options are given to you.
