Can not print postage labels on a Multi-User Account Access (MUAA) ?
Summary: nit5184 has set up an eBay business account and is experiencing issues with a Multi-User Account Access (MUAA) setup. Despite granting full user permissions, a delegate cannot print postage labels as the 'buy postage' button is greyed out. kat@ebay suggests checking if the payment option can be changed, but it appears restricted to eBay funds, which delegates can't access. Attempts to resolve the issue with eBay support have been unhelpful. Additional problems include not receiving order update emails and limited access to manage the shop. kat@ebay confirms that changes to payment methods can only be made by the main account holder.
We have set up an ebay business account and added a user to it (Multi-User Account Access (MUAA)/Teams) and they have all the user permissions but they can not print postage labels? the buy postage button is greyed out, it does say eBay funds cannot be used for postage payments in a Multi-User Account Access (MUAA) delegatee account but on the main account we have a credit card on file as we are paying for shop subscription so how can the user be able to print labels?
They can create edit listings, even do refunds as everything that is tickable in user permissions has been done.
ebay customer support is absolutely useless, we have phoned and messaged numerous times and they dont understand and just say they will raise a ticket to IT

eBay funds cannot be used for postage payments in a Multi-User Account Access (MUAA) delegatee account.
I have the blue bar going across the top of the pages to say You are accessing 'ebay username' account. Switch account | Back to account access

Are they able to change the " pay with " option when on the label payment page? Change it away from eBay funds to the payment method you have already set up for selling costs?

Upon checking the seller account, team access we can see the seller has one delegate where we can see the seller has already provided the access to print postage labels. In edit team access, it is greyed out, as when seller unselecting Manage refunds, requests and disputes option, the print labels are active. From AD, we can already see the delegate has access to print labels.Â
this is no help as I already said that I have been giving permission to print postage labels and refunds etc but the buy postage button is greyed out

Thanks for the details. I'm currently following up the ticket that was already opened with tech as I can see permissions include print labels but doesn't seem to be for buying them. They are having a further look into it so once I have more details from them I will post back here.

Check you have all your selling options selected including items sold in your account settings> communication preferences> selling activity.

OPAug 13, 2026 at 11:21 AMstill not receiving the emails, the only email I receive is when you reply to this thread. This is a major issue for us know and ebay IT should of fixed by now and we can not dedicate any more time to listings on eBay as its taking away from our time on other platforms

You do have access to the seller hub but will only have access to what you have been granted permissions to do. Please see the team access page here for the details on what permissions are available. Shop edits are not part of allowed permissions.

Tech have re-checked it and they are advising the error message that shows is correct and working as designed because when trying to purchase the label the option is greyed out because the only payment option available is "eBay funds" and as a delegatee you cannot access the eBay funds of the delegator. Unless the main account holder the delegator can change the payment set up used to purchase postage labels then you won't have permissions to do it. They next time they go to purchase a label they can check the payment method to see if they are able to add another option..

OP3 weeks agoif I click on my name on top left and goto account settings, and then payments in payment information , and click on add card, would that then allow me to print labels?

Only the main account holder can make any payment related changes. It would need to be done through the purchase postage label process and update the payment option on the label checkout/review page.
