Can I opt out of Simple Delivery for one higher priced item?
I am hoping someone can help. Private Seller - I use Simple Delivery ( post free) for most of my items. Works ok.
However I occasionally have higher priced items and need to buy tracked/signed for postage.
Can I opt out on individual items?
Or do I list with the least expensive postage option - eg - second class letter and then cancel that label and I then pay for the new more expensive custom postage myself.

Mentor2 months agoSimple Delivery covers sellers for loss and damage in transit for up to £750. For items worth more than that you should be able to opt out during the listing process.
As you say the alternative is to list with free postage, factor that cost into your item price and buy your own postage outside of eBay.
To get the buyer's full address and mark dispatched click on Get prepaid label for the original Simple Delivery label. It will remain unused and you can claim a refund for it here:

I thought simple delivery only covered items up to £20?
I must have that wrong, as £750 would be more than enough to cover my higher priced items.
