Can I get a refund when inpost fails to deliver
Inpost have around 10 parcels which should have all been delivered by Friday last week, I have been in touch and it transpires that the depot has staff issues and the parcels are backed up. What happens if my customers start requesting refunds, can I claim back from ebay as I purchased postage from them?

Mentor1 week agoThat's bad news, potentially there are 10 late delivery defects there which you'll need to argue to get removed.
I don't think that there is a way for you to claim any kind of postage refund from eBay if your buyers claim item not received refunds.

Mentor1 week agoAs a business seller I suspect you will need to refund and argue with ebay about their system failure.

OP1 week agoThank you, just checked and they have had a scan this evaning so hoping they are on the way. I have kept in touch with all of the customers so hoping they are just going to be patient and can see I am doing everything I can to help them

Mentor1 week agoDid you use eBay's Simple Delivery for these transactions?
If so, then if the buyers open case for item not received, eBay will refund the buyer and you get to keep the payout for the item.
If you didn't use SD, and if tracking cannot prove delivery, you will have to first refund buyers when cases are opened, and then try and get compensation for yourself from InPost.

OP1 week agoYes I use ebays delivery, which I am assuming is the simple delivery, I chose the inpost but I always skip the insurance part, will that make a difference?

Mentor1 week agoAs a business seller you wouldn't have used simple delivery but Packlink for your labels. Any issue you need to take the case up direct with them.
As long as the tracking shows against each order you should be protected as it will show at delivery depot or what ever wording is used by the carrier.
