Buyers who simply dont pay
When you place a bid for an item at auction you enter into a legally binding contract to pay for that item if you win the auction.....surely thats the LAW. So how is it ebay let people place bids, win the item then dont pay with no come back at all? They say they moniter it but its rubbish . Its happend to me several times but the buyer who simply doesnt pay still has 100% feedback. Surely this isnt right!

Buyer didn't pay, you still have item.
Relist it for someone else.
Put non payer on blocked list.

Mentor5 months agoas said eBay you the tools to deal with this.
A major problem is seller leaving false positives announcing the buyer did not pay, signifying the seller found not getting paid a positive experience.
The false positive you left your buyer is serious feedback abuse.

Mentor4 months agoConsidering that major laws are now ignored, do you really think it would be worth taking legal action which would cost you, and still end up with no payment.
The main point about an unpaid strike, is that sellers can block all buyers with two or more unpaid strikes, and NO feedback can be left.
Leaving negative comments on positive feedback, just increases the buyers score, all buyers have a 100% record, and buyer could leave you negative feedback.
You could appeal which would just bring to attention of ebay that you had broken the feedback rules, which no doubt would damage your selling record.

Mentor5 months agoYou can give them a non-payment strike.
After 4 days you can cancel and select the reason as 'buyer didn't pay’ (eBay works in 24hr cycles so the option won’t be available until 4 x 24hrs have passed). There’s a link on this eBay page:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/help/selling/getting-paid/resolving-unpaid-items-buyers?id=4137&st=12&pos=1&q...
The non-payer can't leave feedback and gets a non-payment strike against their account, which sticks to it for a year.
Don't be tempted to leave feedback for a non-payer - it can only be positive and will enable them to remove the strike they receive.
Set your Buyer Requirements to block bidders with two or more non-payment strikes in the last 12 months and add them to your Blocked Buyer List with this link:
