Buyers not paying
Summary: mikey281 is experiencing issues with buyers repeatedly winning auctions but not paying for the items. I've now listed an auction four times.
Winning bidder 1st time requested to cancel as item would not arrive in time. Although it was clear when the auction ended.
Winning bidder second time just ignored and never paid.
Winning bidder 3 again didn't pay and said they didn't know bid was a binding contract and then said they were a child. I raised a complaint as Ebay T&C's say you must be over 18 years of age. Ebay clearly hasn't done anything as they are still selling numerous items.
Winning bidder 4 although they contacted me before the auction ended to request to pay immediately I informed them that it was an auction but if they wanted to cancel their bid I would accept. As otherwise I would yet again be having to give the statutory wait period before I could relist. They ignored that message, subsequently won and yes yet again no payment. I can't even leave a negative review for any of them. Crazy.

Mentor2 weeks agoAdding to the correct information given, those strikes if they mount up may mean eBay will boot those buyers off their site, so those non payment cases are important.

Mentor2 weeks agoI hope you cancelled on day 4 as unpaid, this gives buyers a strike.
Also set buyer requirements to block buyers with 2 unpaid strikes.

Mentor2 weeks agoUse the non payment policy to give these offenders strikes/defects on their accounts --- definitely effective and prevents further Seller headaches >
