Buyer wants to return a brand new phone as he doesnt understand how to properly use it
A buyer has reached out to me as he brought a brand new, unopened, security sealed phone as he no longer wants it. He states he wanted a dual sim, to which the phone is a dual sim. It takes a nano sim and has an esim to which he has to contact his provider to get set up. So because it is not 2 physical sims he no longer wants it. What are my rights as hes had a play with it, and quite simply doesn't understand how to use the phone. I do not accept returns, I have not in anyway mis sold or mis led the customer in the purchase of the phone

·11 months agoYou have sold 12 brand new phones in less than a month so the buyer may well assume that you are a business seller and they should be able to return their purchase to you for any reason.
As advised, you don't need to do anything until/unless the buyer starts a return through Ebay. If they open a return on the grounds the phone is 'not as described' (they were expecting dual sim to mean it would accept a choice of 2 physical sim cards) you should accept the return.

There is a problem with this, your buyer could decide to find fault with it and instigate a chargeback from his bank as "faulty" or "not as described" and he would probably win it.
This sounds like a bit of a nightmare for you I'm sorry to say.
