Buyer wants to collect after purchasing item
My buyer has decided they want to collect after paying for the item and postage.
I have received the funds and we’re both happy.
but eBay is waiting for me to dispatch and the buyer has no QR code.
How do we tell eBay what’s happening?
I’m happy to refund the postage cost to the buyer but I can’t find an option to do that.

What a worry.
I've already received the funds and agreed to them coming to collect now.
How about I just post it to them and decline their offer of collection?
Would that be a solution?

Mentor5 months agoPosting would get you evidence of tracked delivery! Suggest you explain the problem to buyer and say you are obliged to post, otherwise solution is to cancel sale and relist which is a lot of bother for both of you.
That is the real problem with collecting with out a code, buyer can collect, open a not received case and you have to refund, as you have no proof of delivery.

Mentor5 months agoYou can't tell ebay what is happening and you will have no proof the buyer collected the item if they should try an item not received claim.
I think it's suspicious that your buyer chose postage when you had collection on the listing, and now wants to collect.
You can do a partial refund against the sale, equivalent to the postage.
