Buyer wants to cancel an order AFTER I have posted it! Is this a scam?

I sold a blood pressure monitor to a buyer who promptly paid. I then packed it up and posted it, yesterday afternoon, and let the buyer know I had posted it (I do let my buyers know when I have posted items).
The buyer has come back to me this evening to say they made a mistake and now want to cancel the order.
I am concerned that if I cancel the order, the buyer will never return the item and I will lose out.
eBay doesn't seem to have any process to stop this from happening.
What should I do?

Mentor2 weeks agoTell them to open a return using "changed mind" as the reason. Then they pay postage and you refund after you get the item back.

Returning first is just giving buyer what he wants, a freebie.
