Buyer wants to arrange a courier for a Collection Only item

A buyer has said they want to arrange a courier to collect a Collection Only item, but I'm concerned as I need a code from them to prove it's been collected.  Is there a way this can work?

Message the buyer they need to give the courier that code, and that the courier must hand over that collection code to you, or you cannot release the item. The number can be manually entered if need be, and do this before releasing the item , to make sure it works.

If the buyer agrees to this, then it's OK to go ahead. One more thing to be aware of maybe the buyer isn't, if they use a courier, so a third party, then they void all eBay's MBG Money Back Guarantee for themselves. it doesn't of course prevent any chargebacks, but the MBG would be null and void .
