Buyer wants next faster delivery
Hi, I sold some crockery with Simple Delivery but after I printed the label, the buyer emailed to say that they wanted the plates by Wednesday and I can't work out how to cancel the postage and reissue new postage.....or how to upgrade it to next day delivery or within two days...Has anyone had this situation and successfully upgraded Simple Delivery?

OP8 months agoSo we've cancelled, I've refunded the buyer - for some reason I had to pay from my credit card too not just all from the balance! and now I don't see "next day delivery" as an option... nor to collect from my home...it's so complicated!

OP8 months agoAlso when I hear back from the buyer I'll ask if they want me to cancel and relist with next day delivery, but it has to be collection from my house as the parcel is too big for me to carry. And too heavy...
Seems a bit of an obstacle if you can't just change the postage on request from the buyer as long as it has not gone yet....

OP8 months agoThanks for this. I've spent hours trying to find out online and also getting quotes - was £12 last night with DPD then over £30 this morning and £43 with Parcelhero! it's the insurance that is the expense but as it would not be through ebay I guess the ebay buyer protection does not cover it?

Mentor8 months agoYou can cancel it, but if buyer bought and paid for label they get the refund.

Mentor8 months agoThe buyer would be refunded for the unused label when you cancel as they paid for it

OP8 months agoBrilliant, thanks for letting me know. I'll message them and let them know and try to raise a new one! But I'll have to cancel the label first, I hope that's possible after printing it?

Mentor8 months agoYou would need to cancel the original order and relist but even express delivery wouldn't be guaranteed to arrive by Wednesday, I would relist with Next Day Guaranteed and include the cost in the price with 'free delivery' you can then get your label direct from RM

Mentor8 months agoYou can't change an SD label. Assuming you don't want to pay for another label yourself you'd have to cancel the transaction via the dropdown menu for the item on your orders list, and relist for the buyer to choose the express option.
