Buyer wants a refund
Hello I would really appreciate it if another seller could advise me. I am so cross because I sold nearly over a month ago a set of fitness weights the buyer paid and I reached out to him asking when he would like to collect He said he was busy currently and that he lived over 4 hours away and that he would sort out a date Each following week I texted and he said a weekend would be best and I agreed last week I texted and he said he should be able to come this weekend. Last night I get a refund request from eBay as the buyer can't collect. I apparently haven't agreed to this yet. It appears I don't have to ? The thing is right from the start he was uncertain when he could come and now after nearly 4 weeks he decides he wants a refund during this time I have stored this equipment for him and received the money from eBay I feel like asking him to arrange a courier to come and collect them ? I would really appreciate any advice IV never encountered this I thought I was being kind keeping these for so long until he was in a position to collect I didn't expect that after weeks of texting he would ask eBay to ask me if I would cancel

Mentor10 months agoIt is annoying but you can't force the buyer to collect them or proceed with the transaction, and if he doesn't have them you do need to refund his money.
You can ask him if he'd like to send a courier but that can create problems, eg. you'd need the collection code before you hand them over.
