Buyer trying to cancel after postage
Hey, I’ve recently sold a card and the buyer messaged to make an offer on a price and then paid straight away. Now as soon as the item has been posted they are claiming they want to cancel and no longer have the money, although the money has already been cleared to my account.
What can I do please? I’m worried I’m being scammed and the same card won’t be sent back or something along those lines

Mentor7 months agoStrictly if they open a “change of mind return” which it obviously is, then buyer has to pay for return postage, but as a private seller, if you had no returns then you are not obliged to accept.
If they lie and open a Not as described case, then you have no choice but to supply a return label and on return refund in full. Then you could appeal to ebay, but you will not get any money back.

Mentor7 months agoThey can only open one case per item on eBay. They could turn to their payment provider though, claim the item ' was not as described'.

Don't say anything else at this stage.
You will then have to wait and see if they try to open a return case when they get the card.

·7 months agoIf they start a return because they have changed their mind, you can refuse the return request.
