Buyer Scam. Ebay is asking for a refund
Summary: grewie11 shared an experience where they sold silver coins to a buyer who claims one envelope was empty upon arrival, though grewie11 has video evidence showing the package was sealed and undamaged. Ebay has requested the buyer return the items for a refund, but has not asked grewie11 for their evidence. john1297576 explained that Ebay often supports the buyer, potentially affecting the seller's record, and papso22 confirmed that this may occur even with the available evidence against the buyer’s claim.
I have sold 2 lots of 5 silver coins to the same buyer at the same time. I posted the coins in 2 seperate envolopes. The Buyer has recieved both envolopes but says 1 is empty. I have a video of me packing the envolopes and also him saying it was sealed and undamaged when it arrived. Its obviouse he has recieved them. I have delivery proof, video of packaging and him saying they were undamaged. Ebay is now asking him to return them and he will be refunded. They have not contact me for the evidence or asked me any questions. The buyer has offered nothing but a picture of an evelope that he has cut open. All he has said is it was empty, what evidence is that??

Mentor3 weeks agoEbay will support the buyer and if you do nothing you will get a defect which can be very damaging for a seller.
